Jason Billeck is Counsel in the Litigation department of Weil, Gotshal & Manges’ Houston office. Mr. Billeck concentrates in the areas of complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy litigation. He has represented clients in federal and state courts across the country.
Mr. Billeck’s commercial litigation experience includes a broad spectrum of disciplines, such as class actions, antitrust disputes, breach of contract, fraud, and consumer claims. Additionally, Mr. Billeck has considerable bankruptcy litigation experience, including representing WorldCom, Inc., PG&E Corporation and Loral Space & Communications Ltd. in the confirmation of plans of reorganization and in a multitude of adversary proceedings and contested matters. Mr. Billeck is currently representing Global Crossing Limited in a contested matter whereby a former indirect subsidiary seeks to recover in excess of $75 million.
Mr. Billeck earned his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 1997 where he graduated magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, and served as a member of the Houston Journal of International Law. He graduated in 1994 from Texas Christian University with a BBA in finance.
