Jarrad Wright is an associate in the Complex Commercial Litigation department of Weil, Gotshal & Manges' Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Wright joined the firm in 2004 and has experience in a variety of commercial litigations with focuses on bankruptcy litigation and government enforcement actions. Mr. Wright has participated in all stages of litigation and has experience in a wide range of industries including financial services, oil and gas, defense, and technology.
In the government enforcement, Mr. Wright has worked with clients involved with a variety of criminal and securities investigations. In particular, he has experience conducting internal investigations involving compliance with extraterritorial laws and regulations such as the Federal Corrupt Practices Act and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
In Chapter 11 cases, he has worked on cases for major debtors, including General Growth Properties Inc., Washington Mutual, Inc., and Enron Corporation. He also has been involved in numerous creditor representations including the Senior Lenders of Owens Corning and the Equity Committee for USG Corporation. In bankruptcy, Mr. Wright has worked on litigation matters that span the entire bankruptcy process which include contested first day motions, adversary proceedings, estimation proceedings, confirmation hearings, and appeals.
Mr. Wright graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in political science in 2001. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2004. Mr. Wright is admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia.
