Gábor Zoltán Szabó is an associate with over thirteen years of experience specializing in capital markets, corporate and M&A transactions. He has represented international and domestic corporate clients including CP Holdings, HVB Group (now Unicredit Group), K&H General Insurance, Magyar Telecom and MOL (Hungarian Oil Company).
Prior to joining WGM’s Budapest office in 2004, Gábor worked for another major international law firm for almost four years as well as for smaller Hungarian law firms. Both at WGM and his previous firms, he was involved in several capital markets and M&A transactions including the establishment of the country's largest bond and mortgage bond programs, as well as several large equity offerings, take-over transactions and privatizations.
Gábor graduated from the Faculty of Law at Eötvös Loránd University in 1995 and received an LL.M in international business law from Central European University in 2000.
Gábor has been a member of the Budapest Bar since 1999. He has written several law review articles regarding different areas of Hungarian business law, in particular with respect to corporate law and securities law matters as well as security instruments. He has also been published in international publications.
Gábor is fluent in English in addition to his native Hungarian.
