Marcia Goldstein, chair of Weil’s global Business Finance & Restructuring Department, and Stephen Karotkin, a Business & Finance Reorganization partner at Weil, will both speak on bankruptcy plan confirmation issues at the morning and afternoon sessions of the Advanced Program at the ABI’s 38th Annual Lawrence P. King and Charles Seligson Workshop on Bankruptcy & Business Reorganization on September 19, 2012. The morning session will cover multiple debtors, disputed claims issues, nondebtor releases, treatment of subordinated claims, and intercreditor gifting issues, and the afternoon session will cover operating businesses in chapter 11, the automatic stay, property sales, financing, executory contracts, first-day motions, preferences, and fraudulent conveyances.
