Evan Marcus is an associate in the Private Equity / Mergers & Acquisitions group in the Corporate department of Weil's New York office. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Marcus clerked at the Court of Appeal for Ontario for Justices MacPherson, Rouleau, and Juriansz. Mr. Marcus was a Summer Associate at Weil in 2007 and 2008, and also worked at a large full-service business law firm in Toronto in 2007.
Mr. Marcus received his Bachelor of Arts (with distinction) from York University in 2004. He received his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and his M.B.A. from the Schulich School of Business in 2008 and was awarded the Bronze Medal in his J.D. and M.B.A. classes, respectively. Mr. Marcus also received an award for highest standing in the J.D./M.B.A. class of 2008.
Mr. Marcus is admitted to practice in New York. He is also a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
