Evan Budaj is an associate in Weil’s Silicon Valley office. He specializes in patent litigation, with a focus on the technology industry. Mr. Budaj, who holds a B.S. with honors in computer science, has worked on matters involving a wide range of complex technologies, such as relational databases, web browsers, mobile phone systems, motion-tracking technology, and other computer software and hardware.
Mr. Budaj was a member of the trial team in the Eolas v. Adobe et al. litigation, where his knowledge of and familiarity with the technology helped him contribute to the trial team’s success in invalidating all asserted claims of Eolas’s patents on behalf of clients Amazon.com, Inc. and Yahoo! Inc. Mr. Budaj also participated in representing EA, THQ, and Majesco in the Impulse Technologies, Inc. v. Nintendo of America, Inc. et al. litigation, which was dismissed with prejudice following a comprehensive win at claim construction.
