Erika Evasdottir is an associate in the firm's Corporate Department and is based in the Hong Kong office. Ms. Evasdottir's experience includes advising investment banks and issuers in public and private offerings of equity and debt securities in Hong Kong, Singapore and New York. She has also represented private equity funds and investment entities in growth capital investment transactions in East and Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining Weil, Ms. Evasdottir practiced corporate and securities law with major international firms in New York and Hong Kong. She was also a clerk for Chief Justice D. Fabe of the Alaska State Supreme Court.
Ms. Evasdottir received her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, where she was a Hamilton Fellow and Stone Scholar. Ms. Evasdottir was Editor-in-Chief of the Columbia Journal of Asian Law; a member of the International Jessup Moot Court Team (U.S. National Champions for 2003); and a member of the Chinese Law Society.
Ms. Evasdottir is proficient in Mandarin.
