Eric S. Hochstadt is a senior associate in Weil’s Litigation Department. Mr. Hochstadt specializes in civil antitrust and complex litigation in a broad range of industries. Mr. Hochstadt's practice also focuses on criminal cartel investigations and antitrust counseling.
Mr. Hochstadt began his career with the firm in 2003, following the receipt of his JD degree, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was a Notes Editor on the Cardozo Law Review. Mr. Hochstadt received his BA degree in Political Science, High Distinction, from the University of Michigan in 2000. From 2006-07, Mr. Hochstadt served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Loretta A. Preska in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Mr. Hochstadt is a Vice-Chair of the ABA Section of Antitrust Law’s Legislative Committee and an active member of the International Committee. Mr. Hochstadt also is an active member of the New York State Bar Association Antitrust Law Section’s Class Action Committee. In addition, Mr. Hochstadt serves as an appointed officer of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law Alumni Association’s Executive Committee.
Mr. Hochstadt is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, as well as the US Supreme Court, the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the US District Courts for the Southern District of New York, Eastern District of New York, and District of New Jersey.
