Eric Hawkins is an associate in the Litigation department of Weil, Gotshal & Manges and a member of the firm’s Securities Litigation/Corporate Governance Group. Mr. Hawkins has worked on a variety of securities and commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts. His practice involves the representation of issuers, officers and directors, and private equity firms in shareholder class actions and derivative actions, as well as governmental and internal investigations.
Before joining Weil, Mr. Hawkins was a clerk to the Honorable William C. Conner in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Mr. Hawkins received his B.A., cum laude, in Economics from Hamilton College. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law, where he served as a Notes and Articles Editor of the Fordham Law Review.
Mr. Hawkins is admitted to practice in New York and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
