Elaine Stangland is a partner in the firm’s Corporate Department.
Ms. Stangland concentrates her practice in complex international and domestic banking and financial transactions, including acquisition finance, asset-based lending, project finance and restructurings. She has represented the US as well as domestic and foreign banks and other institutional lenders on a wide variety of cross-border and domestic matters.
Before joining Weil, Ms. Stangland was the deputy general counsel of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, the official export credit agency of the US and was a partner with the law firm Sidley & Austin (now Sidley Austin LLP).
Ms. Stangland received her B.A., cum laude, and J.D. from the University of California, in Los Angeles. She is admitted in New York, California and the District of Columbia.
