Edward Reines is a partner in Weil, Gotshal and Manges’ Technology Litigation Practice, with a robust trial and appellate practice. Mr. Reines is also active in public service and is dedicated to supporting disabled veterans rights pro bono. Since 2008, Mr. Reines has been recognized by The Daily Journal as one of the “Top Intellectual Property Litigators” in California. Mr. Reines appeared in IP Law & Business magazine’s 2008 inaugural ranking of the “Top 50 Under 45” US IP lawyers, and also has been recognized by IP Law & Business as one of the “Top 75 IP Litigators” nationally. Additionally, since 2005, Mr. Reines has been ranked in Chambers USA as a leading lawyer in the area of Intellectual Property: Patent.

Among his public service commitments, Mr. Reines is Chair of the Federal Circuit’s Advisory Council, Chair of the Patent Rules Advisory Committee for the Northern District of California, and President of the Federal Bar Association's Northern District of California Chapter. He has served as president of the Federal Circuit Bar Association and Chair of the AIPLA Amicus Committee. He teaches patent litigation at both Berkeley and Stanford Law Schools.

Mr. Reines graduated from Columbia Law School in 1988 with honors.
