Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP

Work / Life Balance

We have in place several programs meant to facilitate a healthy work/life balance for our attorneys including:

  • Flex-Time Work Arrangements
  • Primary Caregiver Leave
  • Parental Leave
  • Dependent Care Benefit Accounts
  • Back-up Child Care
  • Work/Life Benefit Services
  • Child/Elder Care Referral Services
  • Personal Assistance Program
  • Health Club Membership Reimbursement Program

Flexible Work Arrangements: The Firm recognizes that some associates may wish to adopt a reduced work schedule while continuing their commitment to practicing law. As a result, the Firm offers a flex-time work program (the "Flex Program"). Associates who participate in the Flex Program will remain within the mainstream of their practice and will participate in a full range of Firm activities while accommodating their own personal needs.

Significantly, the Firm has further underscored its commitment to inclusion with the creation of "Flex-Time Partner," available for women and men who have made a long-term career choice to work on a flexible schedule. In 2006, two of eleven new women partners are Flex-Time Partners.

Women@Weil is delighted to announce the opening of a Mother’s Room in the New York office for women attorneys, support staff and visiting clients. The room is designed to serve as a quiet, private and comfortable facility to assist nursing mothers who have returned to work. The Mother’s Room is located on the 24th floor and contains two privately screened areas. It is equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave.
