Diana Widjaya is an associate in Weil’s Litigation Department based in the firm’s Miami office, where she concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation. Ms. Widjaya has experience in a broad range of disputes, including products liability, breach of contract, and healthcare, and has helped obtain successful outcomes for clients like Procter & Gamble, Lehman Brothers, and UnitedHealth Group.
Ms. Widjaya has also been involved in a number of pro bono activities, including representing immigrant clients fighting deportation as a result of the now-repealed HIV travel and immigration ban. Most recently, Ms. Widjaya worked with Lawyers for Children America in representing a former foster youth who was appealing the denial of her benefits, and secured a successful outcome for her client. Ms. Widjaya also serves as an editor of The Florida Bar Journal and is a member of the American Bar Association.
She obtained a J.D. from the Boston University of School of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude, served as an editor for the Boston University Law Review, obtained Dean’s Awards for Corporations and Bankruptcy, and was given the William L. and Lillian Berger Achievement Prize for exemplary scholastic achievement. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Widjaya obtained her B.S. in chemistry and M.E. in chemical engineering from the University of Florida, and worked as an applications engineer for a national engineering consulting firm.
