David Dummer is a senior associate in Weil’s Complex Commercial Litigation practice. He focuses on the representation of companies and boards of directors in business litigation and internal investigations. Mr. Dummer also has extensive experience in bankruptcy-related litigation, participating as litigation counsel in three contested bankruptcies in 2010 alone (Texas Rangers Baseball Partners, Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc., and Washington Mutual). In 2010, 2012, and 2013, Mr. Dummer was named a Texas Rising Star by Super Lawyers.
Mr. Dummer is active in the firm and is a member of the Dallas hiring committee, the Dallas green committee, and the firm's e-discovery task force. Outside of the firm, Mr. Dummer serves as a board member of the USA Film Festival and is a member of Marquee Circle, Leadership Arts Alumni Association, Turtle Creek Association, Friends of the Katy Trail, and the Trinity River Audubon Center. Prior to joining Weil, Mr. Dummer served as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas B. Russell, US District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.
