Daniel Klein is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department and is based in the Dallas office. His practice focuses primarily on complex commercial litigation in federal and state court, arbitrations, and mediations. He has participated in litigating a wide range of disputes, including antitrust, securities, fraud, breach of contract, and bankruptcy-related litigation matters. Mr. Klein has also participated in several internal investigations.
Mr. Klein has represented several pro bono clients, including assisting a wrongfully-convicted individual in securing compensation and in obtaining favorable immigration status for a refugee from Zimbabwe. Mr. Klein is also a member of the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas’s Young Leaders Society.
Mr. Klein received his J.D., with high honors, from the University of Texas School of Law in 2006, and was inducted into the Order of the Chancellors and Order of the Coif. After graduation, Mr. Klein clerked for Judge Gerald B. Tjoflat of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Mr. Klein graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with honors from the University of Kansas in 2001.
Mr. Klein served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1997 to 2007. After graduating from law school, Mr. Klein served as an intelligence analyst in Afghanistan and Iraq, where he received a Joint Service Commendation Medal and a letter of commendation from a national intelligence agency.
