Chris Townsend is an associate in the London office of Weil and specialises in private equity fund formation.
Chris’s principal areas of expertise include advising a range of investment fund managers and investors on the establishment and operation of, and investment in, private equity, real estate, infrastructure and fund of funds, as well as advising on the corresponding management and executive remuneration arrangements.
Chris has recently advised on a carried interest scheme for a major bank, the re-structuring of a mid-market private equity fund manager, various secondary transactions and the spin out of the spin-out of a large fund management business from a major bank.
During his career Chris has also worked in Paris and speaks French to a high level.
