Caroline P. Geiger is an associate in the Technology & Intellectual Property Transactions practice group in the New York office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.
Ms. Geiger represents clients in matters relating to the licensing, acquisition, development, sale, use, and commercial exploitation of intellectual property. She has experience in private equity, M&A, financing and other corporate transactions as well as in stand-alone intellectual property transactions, including licensing arrangements, intellectual property acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures and technology transfers.
Ms. Geiger has provided pro bono legal services on behalf of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Inc., the New York City Department of Education, and Sanctuary for Families. She has received several awards in recognition of her pro bono work and serves on the Legal Advisory Council of Sanctuary for Families. Ms. Geiger is a member of the Transactional Law Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Section on Intellectual Property Law and of the Information Technology Law Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. In addition, Ms. Geiger is an active alumnus of the Horace Mann School, Stanford University, and the University of Virginia School of Law.
Ms. Geiger joined Weil as a summer associate in 2005. She graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she served as Managing Editor of the Virginia Sports & Entertainment Law Journal and was a member of the Senior Editorial Board of the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology. Ms. Geiger graduated from Stanford University in 2003 with a B.A. in English literature.
