Caroline P. Geiger is an associate in the Technology & Intellectual Property Transactions practice group in the New York office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. Ms. Geiger represents clients in matters relating to the development, acquisition, sale, use, and commercial exploitation of technology and intellectual property and has experience in complex technology transactions, including technology development and licensing agreements, joint ventures, strategic alliances, professional services agreements, distribution agreements, and settlements of intellectual property litigation.
Ms. Geiger is a member of the Transactional Law Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Section on Intellectual Property Law and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, where she serves as Secretary of the Information Technology Law Committee. In addition, Ms. Geiger recently received the Sanctuary for Families 2008 Above & Beyond Award in recognition of her pro bono work for the organization. She was also honored with the New York State Bar Association’s 2008 Empire State Counsel Award for her dedication to providing pro bono services.
Ms. Geiger serves as an alumni agent for the Horace Mann School, Stanford University and the University of Virginia School of Law, and she is a member of the Young Patrons Society of Lincoln Center, Young Friends of the Museum of Jewish Heritage, Sanctuary for Families Legal Advisory Council, and Sanctuary for Families Associates Committee, on which she serves as Co-Chair of the Children’s Events Subcommittee.
Ms. Geiger graduated from Stanford University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in English literature and received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2006. In law school, Ms. Geiger served as Managing Editor of the Virginia Sports & Entertainment Law Journal, was a member of the Senior Editorial Board of the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology, and was an active member of the Student Bar Association and North Grounds Softball League. Ms. Geiger is admitted to practice in the State of New York and in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
