Caroline P. Geiger is an associate in the Technology & Intellectual Property Transactions practice group in the New York office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. Ms. Geiger represents clients in a variety of industries in matters relating to the development, acquisition, sale, use, and commercial exploitation of technology and intellectual property and has experience in complex technology transactions, including technology development and licensing agreements, joint ventures, strategic alliances, professional services agreements, distribution agreements, and settlements of intellectual property litigation.
Ms. Geiger is a member of the Transactional Law Committee of the New York State Bar Association's Section on Intellectual Property Law and of the Information Technology Law Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. In addition, Ms. Geiger is an active alumnus of the Horace Mann School, Stanford University, and the University of Virginia School of Law. She is a member of the Sanctuary for Families Legal Advisory Council and Sanctuary for Families Associates Committee. Ms. Geiger has provided pro bono legal services on behalf of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Inc., the New York City Department of Education, and Sanctuary for Families. She has received several awards in recognition of her pro bono work.
Ms. Geiger graduated from Stanford University in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in English literature and received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2006. In law school, Ms. Geiger served as Managing Editor of the Virginia Sports & Entertainment Law Journal and was a member of the Senior Editorial Board of the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology.
