Summer associates work on existing pro bono matters of the firm as part of their rotations throughout the various departments. In addition, they have the opportunity to participate in a pro bono externship for one or two weeks at pro bono organizations throughout New York City, based on matters of interest to them. This past summer, over thirty summer associates devoted some of their time at pro bono organizations, including Lincoln Center, March of Dimes, New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, and the Legal Aid Society.
