Rotation Process & Feedback
Our attorneys are committed to giving our summer associates maximum exposure to the substantive legal matters that define our practice.
Generally, summer associates spend at least six weeks in the Houston office and rotate through two or more practice areas. We encourage individuals in our summer program to take advantage of invitations to participate in out-of-office events such as client meetings, court appearances, closings and strategy sessions. These opportunities contribute to a rich learning experience that goes beyond the important development of legal writing skills.
Each summer associate is paired with a mentor who provides guidance, answers questions and assists in the summer associate's overall integration to the firm. Summer associates also receive direct feedback about their work from assigning attorneys. Twice during the program - at midsummer and summer's end - you'll receive a formal evaluation from members of the hiring committee.
