Mentoring & Training

Our summer program is an invaluable learning opportunity. You will be challenged in new and exciting ways, while receiving the guidance and support you'll need to perform and excel.

Our training programs complement your day-to-day, on-the-job education. Workshops specifically tailored for summer associates provide hands-on instruction in practical lawyering skills such as deposing witnesses and negotiation techniques. You'll also be invited to participate in our extensive associate training curriculum-a wide range of in-house legal education programs led by Weil attorneys from every practice area. Each summer associate is paired with an associate mentor who provides guidance, answers questions and assists in the summer associate's overall integration into the firm.

To give you a sense of the scope of our practice, we schedule presentations on major matters and practice areas. You'll also hear directly from Weil clients about their legal needs and experiences with the firm. Recent summers have featured luncheon seminars on our crisis management practice and the art of jury selection.
