Rotation Process & Feedback

Our assignment process provides our summer associates with an opportunity to experience the dynamics of each practice area while offering maximum exposure to the substantive legal matters that define each of our practices.

Summer associates receive assignments from each of the three major practice areas in Miami. As a summer associate you will be involved in active transactions and cases, attend client meetings, negotiations, depositions and court hearings and receive a mix of writing, research and observational assignments from a variety of partners and associates. By summer’s end, you’ll have a realistic picture of life at Weil Gotshal, our practices and what it means to be part of this dynamic firm.

We provide thoughtful, careful feedback to guide your professional development. Assigned lawyers assess your performance and written product on an ongoing basis, just as they do for full-time associates. Twice during the program – at midsummer and summer’s end – you’ll receive a formal evaluation from members of the recruiting committee.
