Brianna Benfield is an associate in the Complex Commercial Litigation practice of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP with a particular focus on securities enforcement, bankruptcy litigation, and white collar investigations. Ms. Benfield has participated in all stages of litigation and has experience in a wide range of industries including financial services, oil and gas, automobiles, mining, pharmaceuticals, and technology. Of note, Ms. Benfield is part of the team representing General Motors Corporation in its historic chapter 11 case and has successfully resolved many issues relating to litigation claims and the automatic stay.
Ms. Benfield obtained her J.D., with honors, from The George Washington University Law School where she participated in the International Law Review, the Civil Litigation Clinic, and the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria. Ms. Benfield is admitted to the bars of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia and is an active member of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation.
