Brett Thorstad is a Corporate associate in the Dallas office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges. Mr. Thorstad’s practice focuses on complex corporate and transactional matters, including representation of private equity firms and public and private companies in connection with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, project development, and equity investments. His experience also includes restructuring and financing transactions, advising borrowers in connection with acquisition and working capital financings, senior and subordinated debt facilities, and other forms of debt and equity financing.
Mr. Thorstad advises clients in a variety of industries, ranging from oil and gas, chemical and other energy sectors to professional sports and related media ventures. Representative clients include General Electric Capital Corporation, HM Capital Partners, Brazos Equity Partners, BlackBrush TexStar LP, EIG Energy Partners, Lindsay Goldberg, and Hicks Holdings.
Mr. Thorstad is admitted to practice in the State of Texas.
