Weil is best known for its private equity capabilities, although it also offers a robust corporate practice. Recent highlights include advising China Media Capital on its acquisition of controlling stakes in both News Corporation's 'Star TV' Chinese television channels and Fortune Star Chinese movie library. The Beijing team wins particular praise for its ability to advise on the legal aspects of an issue as well as the commercial and business practicalities of a transaction. The team works out of three offices in Greater China.
