Arthur de Baudry d'Asson is a M&A specialist, active in all types of public and private M&A (with a focus on public takeovers).
Recently, Mr. de Baudry d'Asson was involved in a large number of public M&A transactions, including where substantial involvement can be disclosed, advising Atos Origin in its acquisition of Siemens IT Solutions and Services, Fonds Stratégique d'Investissement, the French sovereign fund, in its joint acquisition with Apollo of Alcan Engineered Products from Rio Tinto, VINCI on numerous matters (including the tender offer on French listed company Entrepose Contracting, and the attempted combination of VINCI's car park activities with that of Fortis Real Estate), PAI partners in its stake building in French listed company Atos Origin, Safran on numerous matters (including in its acquisition of US listed company L-1, the spin-off of Safran's mobile and broadband businesses and the sale both businesses, as well as the acquisition of Dutch company Sdu Identification), ACCOR in its takeover defence strategy, GDF SUEZ in its spin-off of Suez Environment Company, Axa Private Equity in its sale of French listed company Camaïeu and Weinberg Capital Partners in its acquisition of French listed company Sasa Industrie.
Some of the notable assignments in which Mr. de Baudry d'Asson was involved recently include advising several CAC 40 companies in their hostile takeover defense options.
Arthur de Baudry d'Asson graduated in 1994 from the French business school Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC), and in 1997 with a Master of Law from the University of Panthéon-Sorbonne. He received in 2000 a LLM degree from Harvard Law School and is admitted to the Paris Bar (1996) and the New York Bar.
