Ariel Kronman is counsel to the New York office in Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP as well as a member of both the Structured Finance/Derivatives practice and the Financial Regulatory Reform Group. Mr. Kronman has worked at a number of premier law firms, investment banks and hedge funds on Wall Street and in Asia, including as head of legal coverage of the CDO and related derivatives desk at Bank of America. Prior to rejoining Weil in 2008, Mr. Kronman was a managing director in the legal department at Bear Stearns.
Mr. Kronman’s extensive derivatives experience includes credit derivatives, FX and interest rate swaps, forwards and options, total return swaps and equity derivatives, both in commercial and structured finance contexts. Mr. Kronman has also advised on a wide variety of securitizations, including cash and synthetic securitizations of corporate loans and bonds, RMBS, CMBS, CDOs, aircraft and other equipment and leases. Mr. Kronman’s practice also includes complex cross-border financings. Mr. Kronman has also advised on a variety of equipment finance transactions involving aircraft, vessels and railroad equipment, as well as infrastructure finance projects involving power generation facilities and transmission networks and waste disposal facilities.
