Alicia F. Castro is an associate in the Complex Commercial Litigation group of Weil, Gotshal & Manges in Houston. Her practice focuses on bankruptcy litigation, with particular experience in the energy and financial products industries.
She has been involved in counseling clients and litigating matters involving fraudulent transfers, credit default swap transactions, contracts, and appeals. She has handled a wide range of litigation issues and has worked on all aspects of litigation.
Ms. Castro is also committed to giving back to the community through pro bono legal services. Her pro bono work has included the areas of post-conviction DNA testing and compensation for wrongfully-imprisoned individuals, among others.
Ms. Castro graduated from Amherst College with dual degrees in Political Science and Economics, and graduated with honors from the University of Chicago Law School.
