Mr. Purtill’s experience includes participating in the representation of private equity firms and their portfolio companies and public companies in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint venture, cross border, and restructuring transactions, as well as general corporate matters.

- Dell in its acquisition of infrastructure automation software provider Gale Technologies
- Adobe Corporation in its acquisition of creative design social media platform Behance
- Silver Lake Sumeru in its acquisition of cloud computing platform Velocity Technology Enterprises, and subsequent acquisitions by Velocity Technology Enterprises
- Technology Crossover Ventures in its acquisition of a minority stake in Sitecore Corporation
- Anvita Health, Inc., a portfolio company of Hicks Equity Partners, in its sale to Humana, Inc.
- Panasonic Corporation in its acquisition of a minority stake in medical technology start-up CardioNexus Corporation
- Maxim Integrated Products, Inc. in the sale of its clock synchronization business to Microsemi Corporation
- Cardinal Health, Inc. in the spin-off of its medical products and related businesses through Carefusion Corporation
