Adrian J. Perry is an associate in the Technology & Intellectual Property Transactions practice group in the New York office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. Mr. Perry represents clients in a variety of industries in matters relating to the licensing, acquisition, development, sale, use, and commercial exploitation of intellectual property.
He has experience in private equity, M&A, financing and other corporate transactions as well as in stand-alone intellectual property transactions, including licensing arrangements, intellectual property acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, settlements and technology transfers. Mr. Perry was a member of the team which represented Mubadala Development Company PJSC as a member of a consortium, including the Sony Corporation, in the consortium's $2.2 billion agreement to acquire EMI Music Publishing; The Walt Disney Corporation in connection with its acquisition of Marvel Entertainment; NBC Universal and parent General Electric in connection with GE's joint venture with Comcast for ownership of NBC Universal and Comcast's cable channels and regional sports networks; and Verizon Communications in its acquisition of Terremark Worldwide. Mr. Perry has also been active in the representation of Panasonic Corporation, Sirius XM Radio, and MTV in a variety of licensing matters. Mr. Perry has also represented several pro bono clients, including Rock and Wrap it Up!, the Joyful Heart Foundation, and HIPPY USA.
Mr. Perry joined Weil as a summer associate in 2006. He graduated from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Mr. Perry graduated from Stanford University in 2003 with both a B.A. and M.A. in English, with Honors in Interdisciplinary Studies in Humanities.
