Ramon Mercedes is a corporate associate resident in the firm’s New York office. Mr. Mercedes concentrates his practice in M&A, private equity and hedge fund transactions. His experience includes working on the teams on the following recent matters:
- Harbinger Capital Partners in its investments in SkyTerra Communications
- Providence Equity Partners in the
cross-border acquisition of dual-listed eTelecare Global Solutions
- NTK Holdings and Nortek in an out-of-court restructuring agreement
Mr. Mercedes also works on bridge financings, fund administration and other general corporate matters in connection with private equity sponsors.
Mr. Mercedes received both his MBA and JD from Boston College and a BA from Cornell University. Prior to joining Weil, Mr. Mercedes played professional basketball in Latin America. Spanish is his native language.
