Luke R. Harris is an associate in the Private Funds Group and is resident in the firm’s Boston office. Mr. Harris focuses his practice on representing US and non-US private investment fund sponsors and institutional investors in fund formations, portfolio investments and secondary transactions.
Mr. Harris counsels US and non-US fund sponsors on all aspects of capital formation for private investment funds, including venture capital, growth capital, mezzanine, buyout, distressed opportunity, special situations, funds-of-funds and hedge funds. Mr. Harris also advises fund sponsors with respect to regulatory compliance matters and day-to-day fund maintenance and operational matters, including general partner and management company structuring issues and economic sharing arrangements.
Mr. Harris regularly counsels pension funds and other institutional investors, US and non-US fund managers and funds-of-funds in their portfolio investments, including investments in operating companies, investments in US and non-US private investment funds and secondary transactions.
Prior to joining Weil, Mr. Harris was an associate in the Private Investment Funds Group of a large international law firm.
Mr. Harris is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New York.
