S. Jason Comer is a senior associate in the Corporate Department of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. Mr. Comer's practice encompasses a wide range of transactional matters of all types, including general corporate matters, commercial lending transactions, company and portfolio acquisitions, private equity transactions and various real estate matters (acquisitions, development, financing, hotel and hospitality, joint ventures and commercial leasing). Mr. Comer has negotiated real estate joint ventures, sales, financings and management arrangements for properties and developments located in the United States, Europe and South America.
Mr. Comer regularly handles a variety of pro bono matters and is actively involved in the Florida Attorneys Saving Homes pro bono program.
Mr. Comer is a member-elect of the Board of Governors for the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar. He is admitted to practice in New York and Florida and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Dade County Bar Association. Mr. Comer is also a member of the ABA Business Law Committee and Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Committee.
Mr. Comer received his J.D. from Tulane Law School, magna cum laude, where he was the Senior Business Editor for the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law and an Associate Justice on the Moot Court Board. He also served as the Director of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at Tulane Law School and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi honors fraternity. Mr. Comer received his B.A. from Tulane University, with majors in Political Science and Philosophy.
Mr. Comer currently serves as a member of both the firm-wide Diversity Committee and Associates Committee and is active in recruiting and interviewing new attorneys for the firm.
