David Aknin is a partner in Weil Gotshal & Manges’ Corporate Department. Mr. Aknin is a seasoned corporate lawyer active in all types of corporate transactions and in complex restructuring matters as well. He advises buy-out funds, public companies, board of directors, and senior managers in their most sensitive M&A transactions, joint-venture and industrial alliances. David Aknin is consistently cited by numerous financial and legal publications as one of the country’s leading lawyer in his field. In addition, David has developed a widely acknowledged expertise in the handling of critical situations for shareholders, companies and their management team. Over the past years, he has been involved in the largest restructuring transactions in the French market place.
David Aknin is a graduate of the University of Paris I - Panthéon Sorbonne and the University of Paris II, Panthéon Assas (Institut de Droit des Affaires, 1989). He also received a Tax DESS degree from the University of Paris IX Dauphine (1990). He is a member of the Paris Bar.
