Danek Freeman is a partner in the firm’s Corporate department and a member of the Banking & Finance practice.
His practice is focused on domestic and cross-border bank financing. Mr. Freeman has experience representing both financial institutions and corporate borrowers in connection with leveraged acquisition and recapitalization transactions, syndicated lending, investment grade lending, cash flow lending and asset-based lending, as well as loan restructurings, debtor-in-possession financings and exit financings.
Recent transactions include the representation of lead arrangers in senior debt financings for Pfizer Inc. (in connection with its acquisition of Wyeth), Dr Pepper Snapple Group (in connection with its spin-off from Cadbury-Schweppes), Ford Motor Company, Allison Transmission (in connection with its acquisition by an affiliate of The Carlyle Group) and Georgia-Pacific (in connection with its merger into a subsidiary of Koch Industries).
Past representations include Blackstone Real Estate Partners, Brookfield Asset Management, Citigroup, Credit Suisse, JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs.
