Bob Rivollier is an associate in the firm's Private Equity practice group and is based in New York. He has a diverse transactional practice with an emphasis on leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, financings and dispositions involving private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies. Mr. Rivollier also advises clients on general corporate and commercial matters.
Mr. Rivollier's recent transactions include:
- Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan – Acquisition (through its private equity group, Teachers' Private Capital) of a majority stake in Heartland Dental Care (December 2012)
- Avista Capital Partners and Partners Group – Acquisition of Strategic Partners (August 2012)
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Rivollier worked with another leading US law firm in London (United Kingdom) for several years, where he gained extensive experience representing corporate clients, sponsors and underwriters in international offerings of debt securities, and where he represented several companies and sponsors based in France in connection with the disposition of assets and the sale of portfolio companies.
Mr. Rivollier received his LL.B., magna cum laude, and a Master in International Business Law, magna cum laude, from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium), and an LL.M. from Columbia Law School, where he was a James Kent Scholar and a member of the Law School Student Senate and Budget Committee. Mr. Rivollier received a Fulbright fellowship toward his LL.M. at Columbia Law School.
Mr. Rivollier is fluent in English, French, German, and Luxembourgish.
