Blandine Perret is a senior associate in the London office’s Business Finance & Restructuring practice. Blandine joined Weil in 2003 and has a wide range of experience representing debtors, creditors, creditor committees, sponsors, insolvency office-holders and company directors in both domestic and cross-border insolvency and restructurings including, most recently, Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc.

Blandine’s experience includes, amongst others, advising:

  • Enron Corporation and Enron North America Corporation in relation to cross-border insolvency issues, claims handling, corporate governance and unwinding transactions
  • Dr. Bondi, the administrator of Parmalat SpA, on various insolvency related litigation issues and advising on the Eurofood IFSC Limited COMI proceedings
  • Gate Gourmet on restructuring its business (including negotiations with major stakeholders and employees) in order to avoid insolvency
  • the directors of Sunterra Corporation on their duties in relation to the restructuring of its timeshare business, including restructuring their loan and property portfolios, and contingency planning (including preparing for asset sales through a pre-pack administration)
  • Credit Suisse Asset Management in relation to their investments in and lead role on the creditor’ committees of the Axon Financial Funding Limited and Cheyne Capital Management SIVs, including replacement of the security trustee, implementation of the refinancing proposal and other contingency planning, as well as litigation relating to the “pay as you go” restructuring model
  • HMTF Premier Limited on the liquidation of HM Oldco Limited (formerly Burton’s Foods Group Limited)
  • TI Group Limited in relation to the £610 million refinancing of the existing facilities of TI Group Automotive Systems LLC
  • a committee of holders of convertible bonds of GHCL Limited (formerly Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Limited)

Blandine was a founding director for the European branch of the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC Europe) and went on to serve as a director for two terms.

In addition, Blandine has been and continues to be committed to public service and has advised on a number of pro bono matters including, amongst others, for Bridges Community Ventures Limited, Children’s Rights Alliance for England, Help the Aged, Mediation Advisory services and most recently, the wind down of the Victims of Crime Trust.
